Getting excited now! $1400 pricetag is painful though. Bundling it with new headphones doesn't help much considering it's still gonna be a $1000-1100 phone.
If they bundle it with the wh-1000xm5, and the wh-1000xm6 is released and has improved hinge design and specs, will people buy it for 300-400? considering not sure how such a warranty would transfer to the new users.

XM5s retail for $400 here in the states and have already been on sale for as low as $250, brand new from amazon.
If they bundle it with the XM5s, they will say it's a $400 value but in reality, it's a ~$300 value since it is already going on sale here and there. Personally, I wouldn't sell it but I am just looking for the most value since $1400+ is not cheap! I would prefer they gave it a lower price without the headphones, to be honest. I would like the 512gb version for extra ram (if there is a difference), but i'm imagining them charging $1600 for that and that's quite hefty for a phone.
The ideal would be they also announce the XM6s at the same time and bundle it with the VII. That will give a clear $400 value and would make rationalizing the price tag a lot easier. Especially here in the states where everything is getting much more expensive...

3 mics might we see the voice zoom feature from htc u12 where you zoomed in while recording and the mics would "zoom in" on the sound as well might make sense if they plan to introduce some new video apps |

I don't foresee Sony selling the new Xperia in the states. Considering their market share was so low, and with higher prices due to tariffs, no one would buy an xperia, and will stick to apple or samsung, considering most carriers wouldn't offer it, and users would have to buy it off contract.

i have been importing my phone from the UK for the last 20 years. When Sony was offered in the states from carriers, they would not be priced well and they came 6-8 months after the phone was already out.
I'd be importing it from the UK again and we'll see what kind of tariffs I'll have to pay for it. That is of course a consideration in all of this.
Sony in the states is all about video games, TVs, then audio equipment, in that order of importance. i would guess 99% of americans don't even know sony makes phones. ha

yes it does, and it is related to last of season 2, not xperia. Sony's main twitter account doesn't post anything related to xperia. If sumahodigest did any sort of research, they would know that. 
Even the Sony Electronics twitter account rarely posts xperia content.
Xperia content goes on the Sony Xperia account, including all new product announcements.

I'm glad they are diversifying Walkman cause Walkman has been so good for last 7 years or so. Such a shame that very few people happen to experience it. I doubt A series is goin away cause its selling point is portability and Xperia 1 is not a portable music player much like how neither is ZX707. But Walkman A series is all about software first, second while hardware only comes third so implementing it into Xperia shouldn't be a huge hackjob. Walkman app has insane sound calibration, and I hope they ported it to 1VII. That alone would be enough even for a poormen quality 3.5mm jack they already offer on all the Xperias. Walkman app is so good for local playback that even FLAC streaming apps like Tidal sound super thin cause they don't run through Walkman app. |

One axis lining up 4k isn't enough to call a display 4k, I really hate how they've gotten away with calling it a 4k display this whole time when it isn't. |
